The roach people of the GlassPlains? are surely one of the more unusual mutant races to have arisen in the wake of the catastrophe, but they would be the first to admit that another inhabitant of these fabled plains is odder still. Although cachalittler may sometimes be mistaken for common field mice, the luminous red, blue or occassionally green crests of long fur which adorn their heads usually allow for easy identification. Their leather jackets and numerous piercings may also aid in distinguishing them from their more mundane relatives. Originally the habitat of the cachalittler was restricted to the GlassPlains? but in recent decades many have migrated south into the ScreamingWastes?, where it appears that they have begun to farm the AsphaltAgaric. Watching them race their tractorbikes through the agaric as the poison tide recedes has become something of a tourist attraction. The Tooloo Tribe has been quick to exploit this financial opportunity by setting up lookout points, restaurants and curio stores near the cachalittler's favourite spots.
