Intersocieties

Ian has been contacted by the SRC Societies contact (name?)

Regular WORG days are planned: general schools event rather than single school

  • advertising in the Tattler (who? hendri?) (*)
  • organise as charity event (e.g. like SchpatCON?)

rpcoza - CLAWs to assist in funding - R240 for the year

  • since then offer declined as rpcoza no longer need funding, not clear what their new plan is

CLAWnet?: Tiki

There have been complaints about the new wiki engine

d@vid wants specific complaints by email or on tiki

  • (Mike points out if the problem is with the tiki how can people...)
  • Ian has problems with Konqueror: d@vid points out that Konqueror sucks (Ian points out that it used to work with PhpWiki?)
    • since then, I've used the tiki on Konqueror with no problems, and Konqueror still sucks - d@vid
  • Lab access: (eg, Comlabs) ongoing problem, not a TikiWiki? problem
  • Registration and logging in: is going to stay; apparently there have been difficulties (not sure of details)

Moving back to PhpWiki?: not going to happen

  • for completeness: because PhpWiki? crashes, and is no longer actively supported

Moving to another engine: PmWiki? once we've determined what the problems are, and if they're unsolvable, we might have to

  • CLAWnet? subgestapo will look into this at the time

Moving forward: d@vid to post to cthulist, requesting specific complaints (*)

Guildmistress

LARPs will be organised on a case-by-case basis (re. crockery, food, GMs?)

  • GMs? must indicate what they require

Possibility of Monthly LARP sponsorship from Butlers (pizzas not used much this year)

  • To follow up with David Sharpe (who may be in Nambia by now) (*)

Training LARP GMs?: additional GMs?

  • Guildmistress to confirm with GMs? if they are prepared to have trainees (on a per-LARP basis) (*)
  • to find out which LARPs can be run sans writers (eg, Bunker) (*)
  • d@vid points out LARP GMs? become LARP writers

There is no coordinated LARP writing schedule, but what about a LARP writing workshop?

  • who in CLAWs is interested?
  • Invite DramaSoc? and FilmSoc? members as well
  • Means this will be introductory (incl. "What is LARPing?")
  • No definite date set (*)
