Didn't actually expect it to turn up until next week. Oh well, got saved from having to walk up to varsity and got a surprise lift instead. And got another lift into town so I didn't have to walk all the way across varsity to catch a Jammie. Day's been going good so far. And I'm wearing red. Don't think I should do it again. Too many people in my class have bascially fallen over themselves in surprise and I kept getting comments. More black. It's safer. Party tonight. Playtest tomorrow. Party next weekend. Playtest next weekend. Dragonfire next next weekend. Hhmmm... need to fit my weekend in bed somewhere there. Been feeling sick - something to do with a temperature and mild aches and pains which I feel I can no longer attribute to lack of sleep. Or maybe I should just sleep more :p 22 July 2004 - 11:59So it's been awhile... Been back for just over two weeks :) and I still haven't got back to taking Cape Town for granted. Sure it'll happen sometime. Stuff that's been up. Well I'm sure there's lots of stuff, but I can't remember it all. Housesat with Shaun for Jo and Phleep over the weekend while they were away at Icon. Was fun :) and the cat didn't explode. Hope I didn't mess things up too badly :p Not that I had anything to do with trying to put the cat into the microwave or anything like that - BlueHands Had a 21st on Saturday, one of my friends that I've known since Std4. Kinda weird. She's the type of person I'd never even have met at university, but we've been through so much together that we'll always be friends. Meant of course that I went out for dinner with a bunch of... sophisticated... people I didn't really belong with. But it was interesting and I had fun. Didn't have to go to church on Sunday. Still met Shaun's parents. Sure I'll get dragged along to church at some point though. At least until they find out that I'm not actually Christian. But it went well and supposedly they like me. I'm apparently well spoken whatever that's meant to mean? You make it sound like a ba-ad thing, my parents aren't always forthcoming at the best of times - BlueHands again Other than that I'm just trying to get used to this academic work thing that hasn't been around for a couple of weeks. 2 July 2004 - 18:44So yea... rain. And it is here. Bloody pouring. Meant to be like this in Cape Town at this time of year surely? Except of course we have lightning and thunder up here. Very pretty. And the computer's still on and I'm not yet paranoid about getting struck with lightning. It's amazing what boredom will do for you. So haven't been up to much. Seen two out of the three friends I intended to see while I'm up here. One of which is leaving to go to England sometime this month and I have no idea if I'll ever see him again. Meant to be going out again with him tonight, because he owes me major drinks, but not sure if that's gonna happen :p Really need a car. Getting sick of having to try and organise lifts with other people. Other than that I went to Sandton today for lunch. Daahling... :p Hasn't changed much. At least the food's still good. And the company was good too so it's cool. Yes Jo, I went to ~MacDonald?'s, and they didn't have any Hello Kitty toys there :( I'll have to see if I can make it back to Fourways before I leave. I did however, make it into the pretty knife/crossbow shop which is located somewhere in Sandton City. Some beautiful swords, even had samurai swords, and the odd dagger that I liked the look of. Still looking for a decent one that I'll actually be prepared to spend money on. Then I'll learn to use it, and then maybe I'll even carry it every now and then. Happy Full Moon.
