She hated sharing an office here, so she moved over to Parliament, then complained about the office there. She has yet to bring in any funds whatsoever. She takes a lot of "sick leave". So, when she called yesterday to say her husband had taken "a bad turn" and had to be flown to hospital, we were all sceptical. Then, today, we hear that her husband passed away last night. Apparently from some Ebola-like virus. They opened him up and all his organs were melted. Yum. She seems fine, except for the insanity. Their farm has been isolated. Now, from my limited knowlege of Ebola etc, and a brief scan of the CDC website, it seems highly unlikely that it was Ebola. She would've had it by now. Anyway, so, our boss warned us that as soon as we feel even slightly off, we should go to the doctor. I see immense opportunities for "sick leave" :-p. Aside from that flurry of excitement, I'm really getting into Ursula Vernon's artwork. The battle hamsters rock. As well as the smallrus. And this one. Also, the polar bear. It was cool to see Outkast getting the recognition they deserve. They are a cool band. Was sposed to go eat all-you-can Chinese tonight, but it's been cancelled due to lack of interest, so I think I'll make my own vege noodles at home. I'm out of tofu though. I can just hear the "oh, boo hoo, yuck", but I like tofu. I found a recipe for tofu jerkey, which is, I assume, like biltong. Mmmm. Going to an engagement party tomorrow night, have to make snacks to take with. Contemplating mushroom and spinach vol au vents. They're little puff-pastry cases with stuffs in. Easy, yet stylish. Also, maybe, an ice-cream cake. I'll see. Sunday, going to do some Gothic calligraphy and illumination with Claire. I really like it, you can make pretty scrolls with little artistic talent. The art isn't sposed to be realisistic, so I'm sorted. Mmmm, Gothic scrolls. One day, when I have a castle.... Other than that, going to the orthodontist on Monday in preparation for getting my braces at the end of the month. Also going to book my driver's licence. I'll only book for end of Feb or March tho, cos I still need lots of practice. I've only gone up to about 60 :-). Saw the Village on Tuesday with Chelle and Alex. Was cool, not going to go into a whole post mortem, I think this film and it's director have been talked to death already. |
