26/11/06 Second Gem Flys In Flames
At 21h00 last night, the second of the Mayan gems was stolen while en route to the museum. Museum board members have refused to comment on the situation but have simply stated that the third gem is being held in a secure facility and will only be transported at a later date once adequate security measures are in palce. These thefts represent a cost of 1.2 Million dollars in museum funds, not to mention the loss of life. Once again the "angel of death", as he has been called by the media, swooped in last night to steal the second gem after the transport vehicle had been almost completely melted by what appeared to be creatures made entirely of fire. There are unconfirmed reports that there are in fact 2 of these angel beings. Ammateur video footage shows what could possibly be a second being overseeing the situation. Witness reports indicate that the person had wings a metalic glint, much like the one that stole the gems. Who are these fallen angels? Why are they after these gems? Unfortunately local authorities had no comment and no heroes have been active lately. Is this just the begining of an increase in the rate of crime in the manhatten area? Only time will tell.
23/11/06 Hot Gem Gets Snatched By Fire
Last night at approximately 23h00 one of the three Mayan gems that were purchased by the local museum was stolen while the gem was en route to the museum. The gem was being transported in a heavily armoured truck with a private security force, who wishes to remain annonymous, providing backup. The truck came under attack from what have been described as 'fire monsters' that simply melted their way into the truck. Once they had created a hole in the vehicle, and killed most of the security detail, a person dressed like an silver angel, and carrying a flaming sword, swooped down from a nearby roof and grabbed the gem. No announcements were made by this person as to the reason for the attack. Despite this, the museum has not stopped the transport of the second gem on saturday evening, although they have reportedly aquired additional security for the job. Hopefully they will be able to deter any attempts on this gem...
22/06/06 Ember Lights Up Shopping Mall
In a dramatic display of devastating pyrotechnics, the villian Ember has resurfaced in an attack on a local shopping mall. Amidst the carnage and destruction, local hero Bounce-Boy attempted to stop her but was sadly beaten back. Eye-witness reports indicate that the hero was beaten into unconciousness while the villian continued to throw balls of fire at him. Ember continued her rampage of senseless destruction until the arival of Bastion Agents at which time the villian made her escape. After the battle Bastion agents were unavailable for comment but sources indicate that Bounce-Boy was nowhere to be found after the battle.

21/05/06 Meltdown In Manhatten.
The Evil Dr Chernobyl was tharted by a cadre of Heros who have been picking up the slack since the dissapearance of the Vanguard of Justice. Bounce Boy, The Kestral and El Diablo were joined by new comer: El Quetzal Coatl, the Taco Bell Crusader. Dr Chernobyl`s weather control device was soon neutralised and normal weather conditions have returned. Speculation still continues into the allegations that Kommandor Krush may be innocent of the so-called arms auction busted by agents of Bastion almost three weeks ago. Bastion has yet to comment.
02/05/06 Battle Over Broadway.
On a spot of local colour, the after hours robbery of the 3rd National Bank was foiled when a group of local heroes decided apon an on the spot team up. Facing such notables as Bounce Boy, El Diablo and The Paladin, the would be thieves soon found themselves outmatched. Although the main event seems to be the timely arrival of Captain Commonwealth that has most people talking. What the premiere British superhero is doing in Manhattan is anyone’s guess although he was spotted talking animatedly with the mysterious Kestrel. It would seem that even though Super Crime is up by 50% due to the absence of the Vanguard of Justice, our local heroes are stepping up to the plate.
02/05/06 Bastion Cracks Down On International Arms Deal.
Bastion Agents under the directorship of Augustus Creed have struck a blow against the illegal arms trade by exposing a major Arms Auction being held here in Manhattan. The sting occurred in the early hours of the morning at the Kurtzenberg Warehouse on Pier 616, capturing the man responsible, none other than criminal sociopath Kommandor Krush.
12/04/06 Wedding Woes As Wedding of The Millennium Cancelled.
The Wedding of the Millennium between Victory (Earth’s Greatest Defender and Leader of the Vanguard) and Bernice Braddock (Daughter of Bastion’s General Braddock.) looks be a no go as the Vanguard remain missing. The Wedding, originally planned to be held on the 1st of May, cannot possibly continue without the groom and hope of a last minute arrival of Victory seems less likely with every passing day. Ms. Braddock was unavailable for comment.
05/02/06 Vanguard of Justice: Missing.
The Vanguard of Justice (Earth’s Mightiest Superheroes) have not been seen for many weeks now and some fear they may all have been vanquished by some unknown threat or powerful Super Criminal. General Braddock of the Bastion Global Defence Initiative told the press today that: "Where ever our brave boys are, you can be sure that they are kicking ass and taking names in their fight for Truth, Justice and All of Humanity."
