I've jsut come form the London Comic and Film Con...it was okay...sorta like being at Icon without the role-playing...okay, the Icon hall with all the suppliers hawking their wares. Well I managed to locate a Serenity badge and postcard...well 2 of each - the other one is going to Crispian

Speaking of Serenity - I got an autograph out of Adam Bladwin...Jayne. Then went out afterwards and bought a camera so that I can take pictures of him tomorrow...PLUS I'm taking my Firefly boxset with for him to sign.

Got to listen to Billy Boyd talk...he's funny...and very friendly too.

Thanks to all that came on wednesday - I had a real blast and lots of fun. srrry about the R10 cover charge though - I had no idea that the bands were playing....honest.

And I've got a really cool teddy bear from Michelle to give to Hayley. Didn't expect sooooooo many people to see me off...but I really appreciated it. I even managed to get a tear out of Fuzzy. I'm so proud-actually not.

now to locate and to start harassing the other CLAWs type people here...

and one day since my last posting

and it'll most likely be my last posting for a while - at least until I get to regular internet access again.

Let's see - what can I bore you with...

last friday went for drinks with my baby sister - ran into my sister and bf plus friends on the way out. What was funny was the people's reactions when Dani went "Hi, I'm Danielle, Shaun's baby sister" and them turning to Gaenor going "I didn't know you have a sister" at which point she goes "I don't. she's Shaun's sister not mine"
After that met Dani's new boyfriend - she really wanted my stamp of approval (dunno why) and Karl was trying to avoid meeting me until I had gone. But he's a great guy...I like him.

Saturday finished up at the public library - they even gave me a bottle of wine. After that went to Fuzzy's via home to discuss notes for his Conspiracy X campaign that he's rerunning for a new group. After we went through some of the notes we headed out. He paid for everything - his way of saying good-bye. Was cool - unsupervised guys night out. Lots of drinking :-D and having fun. Details withheld to not offend sensitive viewers. Actually it was the first time in a long time where vows of silence didn't have to be taken.

Sunday woke up late and spent afternoon going through more con x stuff before I ran a starter game for his group - kinda of a get them together in the first place story. Nothing major BUT I did learn the importance of having ALL the info of the characters when playing - never DMed? some one else's group before.

From monday until now have been running with the replacement librarian - her claim to fame, she's the daughter-in-law of one of the IFP head honchos. still she seems capable and I gladly let her run the library while I sit in the corner playing on the computer. She can call me when she gets stuck - she's happy with the arrangement.

Now I have to look at the weekend coming up - tonight dinner with Avril, paintball tomorrow morning and larp in evening (if anyone pulls out of that their character is dead - DMs? have decided) Sunday might go out with Antz and see the guys in the evening.

And I'm still very ambivalent about flying next friday...I like that word "ambivalent"

I have to ask - are any of the administrators DELETING blog entries.

have to ask cos as far as I can tell my last entry is GONE...and I do recall posting something which included how many days I had left...and how many to the BDM release in US, UK and SA.

in other news today I appear to have a heart - got the proof from the x-ray I had taken yesterday, and what a mission that was...I want to know how a woman can just lose 2 letters of the alphabet when writing my surname. Plus i got told that after spending money on it, I could have had it done at Heathrow for free-although I imagine I'd have to stand in a query for a while.

Eating magnums is now going to be interesting after WMN...you had to be there l:-p

Adeeb said the funniest thing last week - his reason for never dancing:

Lastly things do look grim for my Con X game, which means I just might end up telling them what's going on...BUT I am getting to run an intro game for Fuzzy's group. Which should be interesting, if I can come up with something that alludes to aspects of the major plotlines and doesn't give anything away...hell I think I'll stick mutated incests in somewhere.

Seriously though, none of the admins delete blog entries (except dupes). An enticing conspiracy theory though it may be...
The wiki went down fairly recently (and gluon.za.net uptime shows only 6 days) so your post may have been badly timed and the database rolled it back. Or something. Of course, let us know as soon as you notice anything awry. Like Piotr's pages which were corrupted when moving from Wiki to Tiki they may be recoverable.
