Blatherskite Collection: Selected HighlightsYou are on the archive wiki. The new wiki is here. The Blatherskite Collection is possibly the most renowned zoo in the realm, and certainly the largest. It was built in the hollow of a city-sized crater on the orders of General Abregand of the Koaltor Tribe as a gift to his favourite mistress, Ms. Emma Blatherskite. Later, Koaltor lost the territory upon which it stood to the Sisterhood of the Bells, and for a while it was feared that the BC would fall into disrepair. To everyone's surprise, however, the nuns of the Sisterhood are rather fond of the gigantic reserve and continue to maintain and improve it - although there are frequent, controversial proposals to change its name. The BC aims to have at least one specimen of every known animal in the realm on display, and so far it has been admirably successful in nearing its goal. Very few creatures still elude the grasp of its talented wrangler-scouts - most notably the terrible and possibly mythological Dubious Elephant. It is easy for humans to get lost within the cavernous vastness of the BC. Since it is impossible for wardens to police every part, viewing the fiercest of its denizens is a dangerous business. Visitors are advised to be well-armoured, and to equip themselves with distractionary measures such as pheromone-infused decoys and large slabs of meat (although a sufficiently large supply of superfluous porters and assistants serves just as well).
