Session 3

Disheartened, the five split up for the night. Jean-Marie pops half a cap and eases back in his couch to
watch FTV. Peri shuts herself in her room and tries to make her first amulet of protection. She cuts herself and collects some of the blood in a small vial. She then seals it with a cap and ties it securely to a cord.
Twenty minutes of drawing essence later, she succeeds in creating a protection against general supernatural attack. She slips the amulet around her neck and goes to sleep. She dreams of petunias, and mutters to
herself. petunias??? baby snigger -Skin Candice has decided to return to the Mills house and find her way deeper into the cellar. In her cat-form,
she is easily able to avoid the few people around, and waits quietly in the cellar until she is alone. She finds some of the remaining bottles from the Chauvet estate. It is obvious that Garrison was systematically
going through the bottles, smashing each in turn. Between the shards of destroyed glass and the remaining whole bottles, the numbers do not add up. Candice is sure that the 13th bottle, the one they are looking for,
must be hidden somewhere else. It is at this point that she discovers the trapdoor. It is heavy stone, and even in her human form she is not nearly strong enough to open it. Eventually she must resort to magick, and
using her skills in Elemental Earth, she makes her way into the hidden cellar. Inside, she finds the bottle they are looking for, glowing warmly to her inner eye. It is flanked by two more bottles, both glowing, one
from an estate in South Africa, the other from Australia. She realises that there is more to this task than they thought, and decides to leave. She manages to get out of the cellar, but has to leave a broken lock
behind, which will no doubt seem suspicious in the morning. Meanwhile, Skin and Kevin are wandering around the mortuary where the six girls' bodies were taken. Kevin
uses his new knowledge of summoning to contact the spirit of one of the victims, Sarah-Jane Cooper. When they ask her who killed her, an image of a young football jock flashes through their minds. She is obviously bent
on revenge, and Kevin cuts a deal with her...they will free her spirit from her body so that she can exact her revenge, but she will owe them a favour once she has satisfied herself. They manage to break into the
mortuary proper, and while Skin distracts the coroner, Kevin succeeds in freeing the angry girl's spirit. The vengeful Revenant disappears. Kevin is unable to dispell all the essence that he has invoked...at first
nothing happens, but as he slips into the janitor's closet to hide, he falls to the floor in what seems to be an epileptic fit, brooms and buckets collapsing onto him as he twitches and flails. The noise alerts the
coroner and he rushes into the mortuary. Skin immediately runs for it. Through feat of luck Kevin manages to recover and escape in time, and the two of them disappear into the night. 'runs for it? lies... if it
wasn't for me kev woulda been busted. i set the bin alight (with superlative magicks i might add) while he was being dragged off, leaving him a valuable oportunity to leg it. -Skin'
The next day at school proves to be an amusing one. It is friday, and the day is taken up with extra-curricular activities. The first of these is driver's ed. Jean-Marie, Candice and Keven do very well
and impress the instructor. Skin and Peri do not. However, Peri does marginally better than Skin, and insists on rubbing it in. Before 'Extra History', the five get together to hear what Candice has discovered. She
tells them about the three bottles, and a brief websearch reveals that similar crimes were also commited on the South African and Australian estates in 1983. A pattern begins to emerge. Jean-Marie suggests that there
may be two others...Argentina and the Mediterranean would complete the set of premier wine-producing countries, and a witchly number of five. A little more research shows that there were similar events on
estates in Argentina and Greece. A brief look through the yearbooks also reveals the identity of Sarah-Jane Cooper's killer: her boyfriend Tony Gardner. The football hero and Head Cheerleader were a popular couple at
the school the previous year.'the only reason i did bad on the driving is cos i was trying to tune the radio to vrock -Skin'
At 'Extra History', the group report back their findings to Ms Micheals. She is impressed, and pensive. Her coven was not aware of the other bottles, and she admits that the task may be more dangerous than
anticipated. She offers the bottles at the Mills residence to the five, saying that she only cares that they are kept safe, but her coven will deal with it if they don't think they can. They accept the offer, but none
of them are entirely comfortable about it. Afterwards, Jean-Marie goes to Ms Weaver and tells her the same story. While he is doing so, Skin obtains Tony Gardner's home number, and attempts to call to see if he is
still alive. The phone is picked up on the other end, but no-one speaks. Suddenly the payphone explodes, showering Skin with quarters. He immediately begins to fill his pockets, but is caught by a teacher. Some
smooth-talking gets him out of trouble, but when he tries to use the office phone to call Gardner's house, the phone begins to melt in his hand. He mumbles an apology and backs out of the office, before the teachers
can come to grips with what they just saw. 'they tried blaming me for an exploding phone! i coulda been pierced by quarters. i'm thinking of sueing. -Skin'
Skin, Peri and Kevin decide to cut school and go around to the Gardner's house. As they arrive, they see that the windows are covered with a thin sheen of blood from the inside. Satisfied that the Revenant has sated
herself, they begin to walk to the mall. On their way they are joined by the cheerleader. Kevin explains that they need help with getting the bottles, and she disappears, saying that she will get them, leaving the three
somewhat confused as to how and when. Jean-Marie and Candice meet them at the mall for lunch. In the food court they notice three kids from the
other school who seem to have reptilian tails. A pantomime of mouse-eating, ala V, by Jean-Marie, Skin and Kevin, gains grudging respect from them. When Kevin begins to take the pantomime too far, though, one of the
lizard-men needs to be restrained by his friends. Candice is sure that they are Rigelian Reptile Aliens, actually part of the Illuminati. Seeing two men who look like Feds doesn't help their level of paranoia,
either. Despite the knowledge that at least two covens, one Revenant and possibly the Feds will be trying to go for
the bottles, the five still decide to try and take them. Each bottle represents an Essence Battery of huge proportions, and would be highly valuable. That night, they meet at a nearby !McDonalds? to formulate their
plan. While there, they notice a heavily-armed biker go over to three women in a car, whisper urgently, then roar away on his Harley. The car also departs hurriedly. It is now a possibility that mercenary witches are
on the trail too. Whatever happens, it will prove to be an interesting night. ready to bust some heads? -Skin
