WITSCON 2002
Date: Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of June 2002.
Venue: DJ du Plessis Building, West Campus, Wits University (see website for map, or contact us for directions - details at bottom of email). Plenty of secure parking at venue. Please use only Empire Road Wits entrance as other entrances are closed on
weekends, and follow the WITSCON signs. Pedestrians please use Senate House entrance or contact us as we may be able to arrange transport for you.
Doors open 8am - no entrance fee into venue
Lunch 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Food and drinks available all day

ROLEPLAYING:
Morning sessions: Registration from 8:30am, play starts at 9:30am
Afternoon sessions: Registration from 12:30pm, play starts at 1:30pm

Saturday:
2 competitive modules in the morning (run concurrently)
Living Greyhawk (LGH) and a non-competitive comedy module in the afternoon
(run concurrently)
Sunday:
2 competitive modules in the morning (run concurrently)
2 competitive modules in the afternoon (run concurrently)
Modules are not confirmed as yet but check for a comprehensive timetable
available at Outer Limits/Wizards/Esswex stores next week (it will also
appear in the member magazine, 'Out of the Pit', being posted to members on
Monday 10th June, and will be posted to the website this weekend).
''Please note: In order to qualify for prizes (best GM and best player, 1st
and second prizes) you have to play in all three competitive events, i.e.
Saturday morning as well as Sunday morning and afternoon. Saturday afternoon
is non-competitive as it is simply a secondary choice for those who do not
wish to play in Living Greyhawk (LGH). If you need help drawing up a LGH
character before Witscon, details will be up on our website by Monday 10th
or we can email them to you - just contact us.''
LARPs: (Live-action roleplaying)
Players required - please email us if you're interested. More details will
be available next week - see website or contact us.
R50 per player, R45 for Warp members - this includes food and drinks.
Friday night (21st June):
Briefing starts 6:30 - 7pm
This is a brilliant Larp - Modern-day boardroom setting in a pharmaceutical
company - easy to dress for - formal business suit.
Experienced players - roleplaying intensive, lots of intrigue, no
action/sci-fi/fantasy/weird stuff.
Saturday night (22nd June):
Briefing starts 5:30 - 6pm
Set in a laboratory, modern day with lots of action.
