Your life has been almost nothing but tumult. In middle age, you have fled for the second time before the GuevarianDeathSquads, taking your remaining two children with you and settling in a distant mountainous part of Fiorio. When the GuevarianDeathSquads pursued you even there, it was only the LiberalAcademicRevolutionaryParty?'s RevolutionaryConvention that protected you.

Once matters had calmed down, you took up cultivation of your remote mountain fields. You discovered the country would support a half-dozen llamas and alpacas and not much more. Your only neighbours are inscrutible Indians who hardly speak Spanish. It is, or was, a hand-to-mouth existence.

Until a month ago. Your son Paco returned with the herd from the upland grazing with a fearful gleam in his eye. He had camped in a remote cave, once he had penned the animals. Your first fear was that he had come across the GuevarianDeathSquads once again. But it was much, much worse than that.
