TribeOfTheApocalypse

You are on the archive wiki. The new wiki is here. The chosen of the tribe are a band of three who have embarked upon a holy quest: to bring about the final apocalypse or die trying. They have travelled the trackless wastes and encountered many strange and dangerous situations. Their diverse skills have allowed them to survive a world that has changed beyond our recognition.
After being blown up, drugged, and cybernetically enhanced the group of, possibly, intrepid adventurers now continues on their quest for evil.
Er, .... Their quest against evil, against evil.

Khara Raveneye (played by Shelagh)

Will be trying to give people an idea of all of the trouble we've been getting into and out of over the last few months. Will start by including Tai (the dastardly DM's) game summary from CLAWmarks 29. But as it is currently sitting on my coffee table reminding me to bring it, that will just have to wait.

I finally remembered my copy o' CLAWmarks ! - ArchAngel

Children of the Apocalypse

By Tai (aka his worship the DM)

Children of the Apocalypse is a roleplaying campaign set in a post nuclear world two hundred years after the fall of civilisation. Think Fallout with promiscuity, questionable morality and weirdoes who want to end the world... and those are just the players. The players, a threesome from an obscure tribe who believe that they must bring about final judgement to humanity, have set out into the blasted lands of the far future. The players are: an unlucky hunter with a technology fetish (played by Dave), a sluttish scout I object - Khara (played by Shelagh) and an insane and drug dependent shaman I'm not insane, just more aware. And isn't everybody dependant on the tools of their trade? - Nic (played by Lucas).

They've encountered, attacked and had their asses kicked by a variety of interesting characters including: evil slavers, killer babies with sharp pointy teeth and a psychotic cyborg with personality issues. An abomination against the Ancestors - Rick They've been to many exotic locales, many of them underground, and obtained high tech weaponry that they don't understand. The campaign has been going for several months and the players have progressed past being a loose group of incompetent country bumpkins into a finely tuned team of psychologically scarred country bumpkins. Notably they've witnessed the destruction of a peaceful settlement by bloodthirsty marauders, been run out of town by killer robots, discovered a hidden bunker complete with nuclear missile silos, met their god and vanquished a schizophrenic cyborg that was replacing humans with robotic impostors.

Unfortunately Kit has been mortally wounded, Khara has a permanent limp and Rick is now questioning his faith Rick is now dead, and Nic knows what is what now. -Nic.

I have to give a brief background so that the present bits make sense ~ ArchAngel

Having been chosen by the tribal elders to complete the sacred task of bringing about final judgement to man the three set out guided by only the following piece of information: "Inside the vaults of steel lie the pillars of fire and they will bring cleansing". During the great feast to name the chosen three Rick is given a box which he is told contains the hand of the prophet and that it should only be opened when the time is right.

After many months of travelling the tribe and Marice (the leader of the town of Haven that was razed to the ground by invading militia - Not as razed as it could have been, thanks to some herbs and a lot of who pah rock smacking skills. - Rick) stumble upon an underground facility. Whoever last occupied it left in a hurry and nothing of much use could be found. Coming across a series of entrances that cannot be opened Rick decides to open the holy box (which does in fact contain a mummified human hand with a metallic wristband) and they are granted access. Deeming this a sign that the prophet is guiding them they investigate further. The maze of tunnels and chambers leads them finally to a large semi-circular room with a large emblem of the world in mosaic on the floor. The travellers sit down to collect their thoughts and try to determine why the prophet has led them here. But as they sit down they are startled by a loud beep and a monitor in front of Rick jumps to life and utters the words "Welcome Dr Williams".
