The Shire of Adamastor Questionaire Thingey
This is an attempt at drawing up a questionaire to get people's feelings and thoughts regarding the two/one shire issue. I (Simon) originally just cut and paste from various emails on the list, but some questions have been added since then by various people.
This is a colloborative document. The idea is that there are a bunch of questions. You add new questions by editing the page. You answer questions by editing the page. Just go ahead.
Hashes (#) make numbered lists. Stars (*) make bulleted lists. Semi-colon-colon (";:") starts an indented paragraph. Read TextFormattingRules? if you need to know more.

- :{ Thomas - 4 }
- { Rannulf - 3 }

- :{ Jehanne - not really. Not by email.}
::{ Patrick - Yes, I would agree with Sister MJ on this }
12. Several proposals were made with reference to creating a barony-like structure within South Africa, with Farthings acting pretty much like Cantons. There is little/no precedent for these. How keen are you to press for such a structure at BoD? level?
(1 - totally against the idea; 5 - we should definitely do this)

- :{ Thomas - 1 - I think we need resolution now, not 2 years in the future, which is possible if we wait on a BOD decision}
- { Sister MJ - 3 }
- :{ Simon - 1 - I agree with Thomas. I also think the BoD? would rightly refused. }
- { Llewelyn - 2 - What Thomas said }
- :{ Jehanne - 1. we should be able to sort this out within SCA structures. }
- { Patrick - 2 - I agree with Thomas about the time frame. }
- :{ Hendrik - 1 - I think a big geographic structure is silly }

{1 - strongly disagree; 5 - strongly agree}
- { Alastair - 3 }
- :{ Simon - 5 }
- { Thomas - 4 - I still think it's more associative with the South, but also understand the investment in it by the North }

- :{ Sister MJ - 4, as above. The name was designed by the South, for the South, but the North have a large investment in it now )

14. The South sends hurtful emails to the list more frequently than the North.

- { Alastair - och aye! }
- :{ Simon - Petunias }
- { Thomas - Marigolds, Petunias are just wrong...err, I mean, you can have petunias if you like, please don't hit me...}

(1 - strongly disagree; 5 - strongly agree)
- { Alastair - 3 }
- :{ Ginevra - 3 }
- { Thomas - 1, I still think this is a bit of a bugaboo rather than a real problem }
- :{ Simon - 3 - I don't think they would be a problem, but the future is notoriously hard to predict }
- { *Jehanne - 3. It might. It might still be a problem if we remain one shire. I'm confident we could find a solution.}
- :{ Sister MJ - 1 }
- { Patrick - 2 - I don't really see membership as a big problem }
- :{ Hendrik - 3 - Not really worried about it }

- :{ Simon - 5 }

- :{ Sister MJ - 5 }
- { Patrick - 5 }
- :{ Hendrik - 5 }
