I used to have a recurring nightmare when I was realy little where this huge scaled beast would stalk me.I could never see it directly but I would always run and it would alwys be right behind me breathing down my neck.I would always try to hide under cars and it would just toss them away like a toy.After I stopped dreaming that dream I very seldom recall any of my dreams.I can't remember when I last had a dream. I believed untill a few years ago that clarity in dreams was rare. but i was mistaken, I wish I could dream.
Movies that fucked me up as a kid : IT , Exorcist, Ghostbusters(the library ghost) and some animated thing that scared the bejeezus out of me.(cant remember the name but it was pretty arb.
When I was really young (cant remember exact age) I was playing with an slighty older girl in her back yard.
After A while she wanted me to play with her vagina ( I shit u not) I proceeded not quite understanding what was going on but after a while proceeded to get uncomfortable with the entire thing and I ran the fuck away(at her protests). Haven't seen her since.

I might have been unclear.(my first encounter with the duplicty of people(exploitative)which shattered my belief that others were incapable of evil.My outlook was real rosy back then.If anyone deems it inappropriate just delete my entry.Trust me it won't bother me.It just wanted to come out. I was about 6 years old when I watched Fright Night (which probably half explains why I am the way I am), and for years afterwards I believed that if I covered my neck with my blanket when I slept, vampires wouldn't be able to get me.
IT (that clown movie) had a similar effect (I only watched the first half): I was certain that if I closed my eyes in the shower, I wouldn't see the blood coming out until it was too late...
When I was really small my grandparents still lived in South Africa and I used to go visit them maybe once every one or two weeks. My grandmother used to breed chihuahuas and I every now and then I would see a litter of puppies. I used to believe that the dogs would grow up for awhile and then grow little again. Birth and death didn't occur to me until much later ;)
i used to be sure there were 'things' in my room that came out after the lights were off. If i didn't sleep with my blanket right up to my chin and all my stuffed toys jammed in on either side of me, the 'things' would get me. I'm still not sure if i expected my teddies to leap to life and save me :)
oh yes, and for a while i was sure that if i put my feet down near the bed, something would grab me from underneath, so i'd always jump off/on my bed really quickly.
Ok, this one isn't mine, but my little sister's. When she was about 17, she asked me what caused the hole in the ozone layer. When I explained about greenhouse gases and CFC's and stuff, she looked surprised and said "Oh. I thought it was a hole the government made to let rockets in and out!" She evidently thought of the ozone as a hard shield around the earth with a little trapdoor to let spaceships in and out. Shallow end of the gene pool, man. Or else I'm adopted. Please...
When I was little, I thought whales were reallllllly big, and that waves were caused by them splashing around, like the sloshing when you take a bath. What's this wind action?

When i was in play-school, a friend told me that if you eat apple pips, then an apple tree will grow inside you until it rips you apart and you die. This was after i had just eaten a whole apple, pips and all. I knew i was going to die, and didn't stop crying until my mom came to pick me up. When I could finally explain that i was doomed to die by imminent tree-age, she was kind enough to tell me it was rubbish.
when i was really small (don't remember age) i went to the beach with my family. there i found some little fish that had washed up and died or some little bait fish left behind by some fisherman. either way i took this fish home and went straight to the bathroom where my sister was in the bath. fully believing that the fish would come back to life if it only got some water to swim in, i threw the fish into my sister's bath. after much jumping and screaming i came to the conclusion that dead fish stay dead.
when i was 8 or 9 i used to believe that a vagina would suck on anything put in there (i have no idea why i thought this) and that woman gave birth anally. we had had a sex ed class and i had seen the diagram (you know... the cutaway with the baby inside) but didn't pay much attention. maybe i had the book upside down or something ???
