the review was of the site before it became a pay-site; I don't
think there's anything wrong with the idea, but I've had less
to do with the site since then since I have no dollars -- I was
mostly impressed with the discussion boards, which drive many a
roleplaying site these days, including TheForge (which replaced
GO as my most visited site) and rpg.net
