for the moment I will ignore how we decide who puts what in front
of the @ (see SinWishlist) -- these are the features I think
CLAWs eekmail should be able to provide (maybe not all at once,
but eventually)
- web-based access
- pop3 & imap access (eg, from a client)
- automatic forwarding
- spam protection (filtering)
- encryption
- form based messaging so's we don't have to put email addresses up where spamtrawlers can find them
(eg for the last, if I'm foo@claws.uct.ac.za I can create link to
http://claws.uct.ac.za/eek/foo/ and there you will find a form to
fill in to send me an email)

I freely admit that this proposal is borne out of my frustration
with every single web email service and email client I have ever
used (okay, pine wasn't too bad)
(ooh, ooh, and SMSing? me when I get new mail, like a kind of SMS
biff! that way I know to check my mail! (chorus: like you wouldn't
check it anyway))
