Dale takes them to the guest wing and instructs Jeeves to show them to their room. Jeeves offers the group some more drinks and Lexi asks to be taken to the games room. When the group walks in they see a Billiards table, a snooker table, 2 dartboards and a foosball table. Cupboards full of games and DVDs and a projection screen T.V. Lexi criticizes, Mike drools. Jeeves brings the drinks, plenty of them. Lexi ends up drinking Red Bull. D plays solitaire, sulking ('I never got a kiss goodnight'-D) while Lexi opens all the cupboards and Mike looks for porn in the DVD cupboards?He only finds soft-core stuff. Lexi randomly takes stuff out the cupboards. Mike gives up on the porn and moves onto looking for Skateboarding stuff?he finds plenty. He proceeds straight to the bloopers. Lexi makes a noise with the snooker table and when she gets bored with that she starts flinging uno cards into the trivial pursuit box. They each pass out in turn and wake up the next morning in 4 poster beds wearing silk PJ?s and not a hangover in sight. Mike rings the call bell and an elderly lady dressed in traditional domestic attire arrives. He asks if any one else is awake and she informs him that the 2 girls are busy waking up. Mike follows the elderly lady to breakfast in the dining HALL. Dale is there in sunglasses, eating. Dale asks the elderly maid to fetch D and Lexi while mike suggests they move breakfast next to the pool. Dale agrees with the idea and organizes breakfast by the pool. Lexi asks the maid who undressed her and put her to bed, the maid replies that she best ask Dale cause she can?t explain it. Lexi goes to shower and contemplates stealing the towels. D gets the same invite and also goes to shower. Mike gets a costume to go for a swim. D gets muesli and sits on the other side of the pool. Dale asks mike why D is upset, mike is clueless, Dale then asks Lexi id D is fine, Lexi shouts across the pool "D are you fine?" D replies "FINE!" Mike goes for said swim and gets a cramp. Dale puts his hand on Mike?s stomach and the cramp disappears. Lexi notices that Dale glows when he does this. Lexi goes to talk to D. Mike talks to Dale about magik and his gifts. Lexi tries to eaves drop and comes into the conversation hearing "So how big can you make it?" "as big as my skateboard", "how about as big as an elephant?", "I can try make it elephant size". Mike tries to create the illusion of an elephant. He manages to make a little dumbo like elephant for 5 minutes and collapses for 13 minutes. Dale speaks about the essence pool and how his dad is 250 years old. He warns Mike about vampires and the like who would try to take essence and destroy the magik user. Lexi asks Dale about the figure she saw on his shoulder. He tells her about Atherials and how they are like Angels but not as powerful. Dale shows them how to create a circle. Mike and D go first and Lexi joins after, a bit apprehensive about the whole thing. The essence ball is passed along to each member of the group to feel what its like. The group goes to café Katura for coffee. D asks Lexi to do something to push Dale in the right direction. Lexi takes a pen and writes D?s number on his arm. He takes out his Palmtop and inserts it into his phone book. D goes back to UCT and meets Lexi and Mike there, G joins in later. They suddenly realize that they didn?t manage to get the information this whole thing was planned for. Mike farsights to Red Lab and explains to Lexi where he is. She astrals to the same place and listens in on the conversation, nothing interesting is said. That evening Mike, Lexi and D go to Lexi?s place to invoke a circle. Using D?s blessing for luck, Mikes Farsight for tracking and Lexi?s Astral to try and get some information. Mike notices a platinum blonde woman in a velvet corset and an eagle tattoo on her neck. Her, Dale and his friend from before are all sitting in a garden surrounded by trees and shrubs making up a hedge. Mike recasts the spell to get a more birds eye perspective. He notices it?s a Gothic house with a hedge closed by a heavy metal gate. He also notices the train station close by. Lexi astrals but cant seem to get through a shield that seems to be around the house. She spots three Atherials and tries to learn more about them. They refuse her entry and deny her knowledge telling her she will learn in time. Not having any success they break the circle and head off to stones. They mess around for a bit on the pool table when Ray and Dylan show up and request to challenge the table. D and Mike play against them while Lexi affect their psyche, making them want to impress her. They try to pull of trick shots and end up losing. They start talking about it being fate that we met. Lexi lies about not knowing anything about magik and goes down stairs to the internet café. Mike mouths off about his gifts even uses them. D tries to kick him to shut up but it doesn?t work. D constantly checks her phone and after from a couple wrong numbers (actually the same guy over and over again) Dale calls asking why they were looking for him. D is confused at first and then remembers telling him it wasn?t important but if he wants to he should join them at stones. |
