The Silharin Calendar

There are 364 days in a year. The calendar divides the year into twelve months of 30 days each and four additional holy days which coincide with the solstices and equinoxes. The New Year is usually marked at Midwinter, but is not particularly celebrated.

- Abrin, the month of sunlight
- Nanri, the month of harvest - beginning of autumn
- Var, the month of war
- Shadow's Eve - autumn equinox
- Nev, the month of rogues
- Caleth, the month of death - beginning of winter
- Dael, the month of darkness
The Moons
The Red Moon (Daeloth) has a phase of 27 days. The first full red moon of the year 1640 was on Silhar 17.
The Blue Moon (Lannariel) has a phase of 19 days. The first full blue moon of the year 1640 was on Silhar 8.
