FoodsAndDrinks

You are on the archive wiki. The new wiki is here. Friday night, after squash with Jim again, we tried to go thru to the food fair that St Thomas was having, but by the time we got there, it was over! Silly church ppl that go to bed early! We decided to go out for Chinese at Mama's Kitchen instead. We all ended up ordering exactly the same thing (Set Menu 1), since there was no calamari for Jim to have Set Menu 3. Calamari at a Chinese place, honestly!

Saturday we totally vegged all day. I played N and Zuma most of the day while Colleen read the books that she's borrowed from Helen. Sabrael, Lirael, Abhorsen - a kiddies' Fantasy series that Colleen thinks is very cool :P I might have to read it sometime. Then I made Chicken a la King while we watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Man, it's bad, all the jokes are so forced.

Brendan (a friend of Colleen's who lives in a house next to our block of flats) was having a Hallowe'en Surfer Punk party - he comes up with some super-weird party themes - so we went off to that. There turned out to be about 6 ppl I knew from high school, and another 3 ppl I knew from junior school. It was kinda cool catching up with all of them :) Gordon (one of Brendan's digs mates) made the punch, and included Mint liquer. It was super weird, but not too bad, surprisingly.

Eventually we decided to head on out to Nenad's farewell party at the One Ring. The people there were already drunken and rowdy, and poor d@vid was the target of Alastair's latest scheme - to get him laid. Fortunately, despite going off for a while, purportedly to go fetch him a woman, he came back empty handed and mostly forgot about it from then on. We got some slap chips from the cafe downstairs but they were hot, so Colleen decided to dunk them in her ice water, to cool them down of course. Waynne thought this was entirely sensible. He then went off to get another drink.

Sunday morning Colleen was feeling a little rough, so I went off to get some take-away breakfast. KFC was closed, as was almost everything else, so I eventually settled on McDee?'s, even tho they were only serving breakfast. The egg and sausage McMuffin? was not too bad, and was actually pretty tasty, in an artificial egg and salty not really sausage kinda way. The rest of the day was again mostly vegging :P

Dave came around later that afternoon to play some magic, and then him and Jim had dinner with us (again a creation of mine, tuna and tomato pasta) and watched the F1. What a boring race. We chatted thru most of it.

All in all a cool relaxed weekend :)

Oh, and apparently there is to be a Space Balls sequel: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0427996/
