I did a bit more slacking in the TheTome/CLAWroom in the first half of 2002, and got well acquainted with the latest decomposition byproducts of The Sofa.  In 2003 year I did an MBA at the UCT Graduate School of Business, and was briefly a TheTome/CLAWmember again.  There was no slacking in the TheTome/CLAWroom this time, because (a) I was too busy, and (b) those bastards took our room! (again).   I am currently in Cape Town.

I am currently living in Cape Town and working in Witbank. Don't ask

Despite my membership of CLAWs I managed to graduate with a B.Sc. (Computer Science) in 1995.  Yes, back then they did allow single major science degrees!  This came in usefull, as I converted from from a B.Sc.Eng. (Electrical) in the middle of 1995 (Too much time in the CLAWRoom can be detrimental to your studies), with Computer Science as my only possible science major.

I went up to ICON in both 1994 and 1995.  In 1995 I managed to get excused from a test that I missed due to ICON by presenting a note from the then CLAWThing (see ListOfClawThings) stating that I was representing UCT at a national event.  I was surprised that it worked!

Since then I have hung out in the CLAWRoom whenever I am slacking.  This applied particularily in 1999 when I was doing research in the UCT library, and kept on getting sucked into those endless CLAWs conversations.  I went up to GENCON by train with CLAWs that year, and was part of the team.  See the Icon2002Diary for some idea of what the train ride is like, although note that there was less rampant lusting after small english boys in 1999 (perhaps because we didn't have one?).
