BackAtWorkYou are on the archive wiki. The new wiki is here. well, it's been a while... I'm back at work as of two days ago, with plenty to do. Been crazy busy the last two days, but it seems to be calming down now. I now have a training manual to write, which should be...interesting. To catch up: Xmas was awesome. Alex and i went to his parents' on xmas eve, so we could stay over and wake up there to open presents with his family (they do a morning thing). Then i went home quickly to get the duck and the satay that were marinating in my fridge, then on to my mom's for xmas day. Much cooking ensued, with my mother swearing (as she does every year) never to have a cooked xmas lunch again. Alex arrived in time for the present opening (we do a late afternoon thing). We got lots of goodies and spent time with both families. In my mind, a successful and enjoyable xmas. New Years was fun at Al's place. Good food, good friends, booze...what more do you need to celebrate the new year? Despite the somewhat haphazard counting-down, champagne flowed and all about saw that it was good. The thursday of my week of leave between the aforementioned holidays, i went to get my tattoo at Incline in Claremont. Ferdi, the tattoo artist, was really cool and friendly, and the tat is healing well. Thanks to all who contributed to the fund! Hmm...other than that, not much to tell. It's been hot. I've been at work. Going to Kingswood on friday for Peking Duck. Mmmmm. |
