IsTheWikiDying

You are on the archive wiki. The new wiki is here. Every time I log on there seems to have been less and less activity on the Wiki - some people have shifted their blogs, and I guess there really isn't much up with CLAWs.

Although in all fairness I guess it is Varsity hols for what's let of the UCT-based end of the CLAWmunity?. But then, how many people who post here are actually still studying? We seem to be a random collective of affiliates who're attempting to make this 'bulletin board' live. And slowly we're losing interest and trickling away. It's a bit sad really.

Anyway, In other news I had a decent weekend - went shoe shopping! Yay. (I got the cutest little retro courts, white with black and red heart details, soo cute, soo goth meets the fifties! I'm wearing them today in fact!) Had a good role-playiong session on Sunday, made all the better by 'moccador and milk'! Well, except for the fact that it seemed to affect Reg, the GM, far to easily and some of the finer details of our planning was missed by him. Tony was crowned King of Bad Mental Images, usurping me from my throne and I managed to hand sew a sodding pinafore together, lace trimming and all. Pretty much a classic session in the style I've missed for a long time. It ran a bit late though and so I'm feeling a bit run down today.

Tomorrow I've got my long awaited NIN concert. Whoot! I'm heading off early so I can go get changed and queue - although I have no idea what I'm going to wear, and I'm a little apprehensive that I'll be able to see anything at all of the concert since I don't fancy standing for five hours in heels. Dillemma, dillemma - maybe I should pack heels in my bag and change at some point. :P

I'd like to go watch Kung-fu Hussel with the Jitsu crowd on Thursday but I've got so much prep work to do from my party I don't know that I can afford the time... Maybe I should anyway, I'll just spent Saturday morning panicking instead. :)

Ah, well, happy happy. (Despite Mike being on my case. Pain is mearly transitory discomfort!)

Wiki activity tends to wax and wane over time. We've been through quiet periods before.

Enjoy the NIN! If there's a mosh pit you get to do some extra jitsu. Heels would probably be a bad idea though. :)

I think people also spend less time bored with computers...

A few also don't have internet connections at home or some such rot.

Besides holidays are boring. :-D

That and some of us are just too plain lazy to blog but enjoy reading others

Comment: I was just saying that (by FirstFallen? on 2005-07-05 13:15:09)

I mentioned just yesterday on IRC that no-one seems to post very much anymore, and every time I log on there's like 1 change. Granted, I don't post very often, but then I never did. And the people who do post are mostly out of varsity. I spose it is sad, but if nothing's happening of interest, do you really want to read about what WombatBoy? had for breakfast? :P

Comment: too much breakfast (by d@vid on 2005-07-05 14:31:04)

the wiki has broken my habit of reading every single post because my new aggregator doesn't parse the tiki output {angry}

anyway, blog use is perfectly healthy, albeit in a little dip for all the reasons mentioned, wiki use is non-existent (mawk and I don't count :-D) and a solution is required

but I've been saying this for a while now, and just need to find the time to do something about it - this is the problem with users being ex-varsity

Comment: Irritation factor... (by OOPMan on 2005-07-06 10:35:27)

Yeah, the tiki has a big issue which has buggered me over when tracking stuff. RecentChanges? doesn't work. Which has screwed me because once in a while I've been logged in and about to go over the 10 updates since I last logged in when the browser/pc crashes. When I return, since I already logged on, the only source of updates is blank. Greaaaat, eh?

On the subject of posting, I don't think so many of the new claw peeps this year have any reason to put stuff up, so they don't.

I dunno, I wonder what exactly you're expecting us to put up Loth? Any guidelines? :-)
