DomesticHighsAndLowsYou are on the archive wiki. The new wiki is here. Heh, I've got a bit of a different weekend planned. I'm not doing much tonight, going to head up to Golder's Green to one of the chinese shops - maybe, probably. Then head home to a good book and an early night. Tomorrow I'm getting up, like usual, at the crack of dawn. Usual for the week, that is. See, my only computer access is this one at the office, and I have a very, very important quest tomorrow morning. It is a quest I cannot afford to fail. If I fail this quest I must forever brand myself unworthy and vast quantities of mental sefl-flaggelation shall occur. Not to mention a lot of begging and pleading with the few contacts I have. My quest is this: Book tickets to Nine Inch Nails on the 31st of March. The tickets in question come on sale at 9am tomorrow morning, and I will be here, poised like a hawk over my keyboard, waiting. The idea of not getting tickets actually makes me feel physically ill. After that, I have a nice long day ahead of me to prepare the semi-impromtue dinnner party I've offered to host. It started that Richard's broke, and I'm very very nearly. So I invited him round for dinner. Then Claire said that she was broke as well, so I invited her to join us. Then Claire said that Silvia, who we were supposed to see next Thursday, had just been dumped, and do I mind is she comes too. So I added her to the list. Finally, Paul asked me "What are you doing on Saturday?", so I told him. And seeing as it's rather rude to tell people your hosting a dinner party without inviting them, especially when they're friends with the rest of the people you've invited, I invited Paul as well. I'm just really hoping that none of my housemates will be home, since I really don't want to cater for any more. Especially since our oven makes me really, really nervous to begin with (it's a relic, a relic which runs on highly flamable gas). But I've decided to cook chinese since this doesn't require me to use the oven! (Aren't I cunning?) I'm even contemplating making dumplings since I've got hours to waste. Should be a good night though. I love dinner parties! |
