It was unfortunately (or fortunately, if you share a certain writers attitude) the last thing he did.

Bazan has also been used in the construction of a large statue in the affluent ''Venlet'' tribe. However, the clay used in that bazan was of inferior quality, and during the sandstorm later that year, the statue crumbled very unceremoniously. Bazan has gone on to become the backbone of many fledgling economies, and its influence continues to spread as travellers speed on further into unknown lands.
