TheGoodTheBadAndIPromiseNotToFinishTheCheesyQuote

There is a major rant up my sleeve, but I wont bore people further than bloody aweful essays...... that I have been marking

The best way to tidy is to give sh.t back to them what it belongs to. I have been trying for the past 6 weeks or so to sort out my flat, since I will at some point need the study/spareroom to be in a state fit for me to invite massage clients into. At the moment I have managed to get it to the state of friends may see it most of the time (on a bad day, the door would stay closed) but it is vissible that I am not tidy there is a unique type of organisation, I can find anything, no-one else can. However shoe boxes everywhere, with piles of papers and stuff clattering the desk and bookshelf really doesn't feel suitable for someone to see when coming for a massage if I have never met them, it just doesn't feel professional. So I am trying to figure out what can be thrown away so that everything can fit in the cupboard, which is Full! everything is already in boxes so that I can squeeze it in.... Yes I am a Packrat, and I could even give classes on how to manage to keep getting more stuff into a small space. I think i may just have reached my maximum allowance for the cupboard space I currently have though.

Weekend chaos... let me preface this with, my mother's brain stops functioning at the thought of travel... BA goes on stike, and my mother was flying BA to London, need i say more.

Was going to be going on a Yoga and meditation retreat this weekend (and all of next week) but it seems it is unlikely to be happening anymore :-( because I am apparently the only person to have booked.

Well at least the other holiday I have planned is still on. Going to a nature reseve 2 (?) hours outside Jo'burg. Should be fun, probably seeing Kim and Bevan, and may well go up to a very fancy and horribly expensive game farm a little further north to visit a friend of mine who got a job there recently.

Hmm seen lots of movies in the recent past, all good, (Madagascar, Fantastic Four, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, HHGTTG, think there are others but cant think what right now.) will be avoiding some that are coming out, since I wont watch anything gory or that plays with my mind or tries to scare me, or of course just plain BAD.

Hmm, Yoga in 30min, yay, i am stiff from marking for the past 3 hours.

AllHellBreaksLoose

Well I probably brought it upon myself, but eeeek, no time! well not entirely true but it sure feels that way. I was winge-ing and moaning about how bored I have been on my extened holiday, because well, if no-one is on holiday with you, it is really rather tedious.

So anyway, last week was mellowed out and chilled at varsity, since one course didn't start its tuts, but this week, in full swing, and having had a fairly full weekend, i started the week on the run. Saturday was cool, if a little tiring, Yoga, Shiatsu (3 hour theory class... I am not looking forward to 6months of that since 3 hours sitting on the floor is not the most comfortable...but anyway) then playing flowerwar, lots of acusations and mystery going on there.... Sunday went with Norm who was helping build sets for a play at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg (uhm, is that spelt right, no matter)

Monday I sucumbed and bought the new Harry Potter, well, I got it at P&P so it wasn't too expensive, so had a chaotic day with students coming to bug me cause their other courses have changed so they can't make their currently allocated tut but have been asked to try and swap within their current tutors classes! chaos! but probably less than otherwise. Tuesday: Long, no other comment. Wednesday, no Varsity, but felt like it should be friday already. Today, well domesticity does not become me, but I still had to do things like dishes and laundry and filing of accounts...... etc. still not finished with that, almost late for work, had to get to a bazillion shops, and I still forgot the catfood.

Yay my sewing machine is fixed, still have to test and check, no time now.

Must read Shiatsu notes because I am not ready for my class this evening... and have a reputation to maintain of sort of knowing what is going on. Must go to do said reading....

TermStarts

long time no blog, not much interesting happening in my life, well, the ocasional thing here and there, but not much Blog worthy.

Well term started today, but the students don't seem to realise that tuts start first week (it is a year long course and tuts don't change) so I have to be there irrelevant of whether anyone arrives which is annoying because Wynberg to Belville is not exactly round the corner. Oh well, I get paid for the class anyway.

My Shiatsu exams went well, passed with a good margin to spare. Start the next module this week, which is stuff like which pressure points treat what. The only ecky part is that it is almost pure theory for the entire course. Well at least they put the practical early on so I can start making money from it yay.

Engagments seem to be contagious! one or two couples get engaged and all of a sudden, far too many people are doing it (we went to an engagment party of somene Norm works with on Saturday night) I find it just a little disturbing.

FREEMassages

Well I have finished the theory section of the Shiatsu course I have been doing since April. wrote my exam on saturday, passed well so all is good, have my practical exam in just over a week, so there are LOTS of FREE massages going begging, all you need to do is ask. Also excited because I will be doing Massage at the holistic lifestyle fair (the short version for which I have already passed my exam)

was very annoyed by the people who service my sewing machine, the foot control stopped working a while ago, so I finally took it into the shop yesterday, and you know what they tell me, "the parts for that are no longer manufactured so we cant fix it, you will have to buy a new foot control" needless to say, at R700-800 I was not impressed, since it is a fantastic sewing machine that has been going for over thirty years, yes, it is older than me! So now I have to either find something second hand (like i know where to find a second hand sewing machine foot control!) or hope that Norm is able to fix it for me.

Had to go in to varsity to sign my contract to get paid this semester, 40min drive there, 10min read contract, sign all pages, 40min drive home! but as silly as that is, at least I will have a somewhat decent salary again in July.

Doing a meditation course at my yoga center starting on Tuesday, Yippee. It is the cool Swami teaching it.

YogaAndStuff

well since I haven't done yoga in ages (like nearly a year) and consider and considering how much I uesd to do it, i didn't realise it is acutally quite strenuous on the muscles.... so I did a routine that I used to get through really easily and it just worked as a nice stretch and balance type routine, wellll needless to say after a year of not doing it I am still stiff from saturday... my muscles must really have gone to flobble

had a really goo past 10 days or so, seen lots of people, which always makes me happy, I just really like company and don't seem to get myself organised to see people as often as I would like.

Went to Dave Campey's place last friday night to see Shelagh before she left for Sheppi. Then went to bed far too late as usual there.

Then Saturday some people came to watch movies at our place and see Kim since this was her home base for the week, Tuesday evening ended up being much the same only replace movies with Munchkin, all is good. saturday went to waterfront, lurked in exclusive books for ages.... we inhabited the sci-fi and classics section for i don't know how long. I very sensible shop, put my 2 favourite sections right next to each other
