I'm soooooo sleepy, but managing to hold onto conciousness long enough to catch up on e-mail and with blogging. Weekend has been pretty cool. Friday was a me day when I decided to have fun. So I dyed my hair (good reaction so far - relieving, although it will wash out in a few weeks), went to the beauty salon for an eyelash tinting etc. and had a really great lunch at the Steenberg farm stall, plus visited Chelle and Norm at work. Had yummy food with Jo and Phleep at their place Friday night after lifting them and stock for Outer Limit's stand at the WORG day. Thanks again guys - plus I got to play with the cat :-) Then watched American Werewolf In Paris on e-tv again - funny movie and actually not as crap as I remember it being (the lead character's best friend roXXors). Woke up an hour late for fetching Phleep in the morning on Saturday, got there 45 min after I said I would and was only 30 min late for the time that we intended to get to WORG. So all-in-all a pretty good effort, plus as with all roleplaying related events it started late anyhow. Late, but early - good enough for me. Smallish turnout, but the people who were there got a chance to play systems that they hadn't before and I got to roleplay with three high school boys - poor them. Then much chatting, helping Garrick develop his Alphabet Soup system idea. Then it was nap time before Michelle's (the younger's) 21st. Great party - cake, dancing, impromptu karaoke amateur dramatics, chatting. And only one point of brief drama that I am aware of. Great to see people again and haven't managed to just have fun on a dancefloor for ages. My legs are comfortably achy as a result. Finally left The One Ring at about 5:30am, bought eggs and stuff for breakfast and retired to Erica's for a fry up breakfast with Hila, Garrick and Erica. YUM Drove home very carefully at 10:30am and slept the sleep of the very tired until it was time to go to supper at Antoine's. One of the best weekends in recent memory (although that isn't very difficult). Even made it to the EOY party on Wednesday after roleplaying at Waynne's. Missed the band, but popular opinion has it that they were very cool. Next time. For those who are confused by this entry's title it's a line from 10 seconds by Cutting Jade that was my theme song in Honours and has proved to still be true. Sign had a couple of really bad days recently - just grateful that I'd never commit suicide... For those who know Kim - she had a accident earlier today on the way up to Bloemfontein, but she is fine (although the same can't be said about her car). I'm just really glad that nothing bad happened to her. Her angels must have been working overtime. Anyhow - that;s me. Comment: waaaah!
