From Hellboy, to a spectacular farewell party (another bugger off to England), to the incredible self-inflicted torture of watching all of Lotr in a row. Now that's all done I'm going to hit the sack. On the insight side of the page, the lotr series has a bit of cross movie quoting that you miss out on if you give them any air to breathe. And I've changed my mind on which of the movies was best, worst (previously Fellowship, Two Towers) and now these honours belong to Fellowship and Return of the King. As a series the first movie still gets the props for being the introduction, where all characters are introduced, and where we see the most of their "character". The switch of the other two movies is down to the fact that the fighting in the finale gets pretty, well... dull, after 7 hours. Plus there is that fairly anticlimatic 16 minutes at the end that really blunts it. Oh well. Opinions are for people. Guess what I am. |
