Hello, forum-goers (especially old ones and CLAWthings)
I have been both moved and inspired by these lovely historical photos of the sadly extinct long-horse breed:

For the next issue of CLAWmarks I intend to put together a documentary about the proud history of the CLAWs Annual Gnarliburr Marathon, to attempt to put back into the spotlight the ancient traditions surrounding the breeding, upkeep and racing of these majestic beasts. To this end, I am seeking assistance in the gathering of some seminal historical materials:
- The canonical description of the Gnarliburr, as printed in an early issue of CLAWmarks which I suspect I do not have: I'm sure somebody knows exactly where to find this
- Authentic archival footage of former CLAWthings and old CLAWs personalities, in garb appropriate for the period of their reign (I'm sure we can get a good selection of the more interesting times in CLAWs history, all the way back to van Riebeeck, the middle ages and perhaps even the velociraptor/robot ninja space monkey pirate wars of the Jurassic): if you're a CLAWthing or other alumnus and have a camera, the documentary team is waiting to hear from you!
- Heartwarming anecdotes of good times spent at the races or the breeding pens; special bonds of friendship forged with particular gnarliburrs, etc.
- Footage of CLAWmembers hanging around University Avenue, the CLAWroom and other places where gnarliburrs were often to be found. Links to galleries would be much appreciated.
