CLAWs Modules

There will be modules! We're still working out the schedule, but you can look forward to two new modules written by our members, a Singularity game and possibly some DM-less narrative games. Watch this space!

Modules will cost R20 per player—there is no charge for DMs.
Sign-ups will happen on the day of the module.
You can sign up as a team (a set of players plus a DM) or as an individual (player or DM). Individual players will be grouped randomly into teams. DMs will be assigned randomly to teams of players.

Quest for the Moon Rock

A group of four fairies, masters of illusion magic, trapped in the human world for the last few thousand years, seek a way back to their own world. There is a spell that opens a gateway, but they have as of yet been unable to get hold of one of the most vital ingredients of this spell: a piece of genuine moon rock.

Fortunately, a small group of humans managed to use technology to do what magic couldn't: not only did they go to the moon, but they also returned, bringing with them samples of moon rock. One such sample is resting in a nearby museum.

The spell can only be completed in the light of the first full moon after midsummer's day. That's tonight.

The humans don't know the magical potency of what they have. To them, it's just a curiosity. Surely it can't be all that heavily guarded... right?

This Is Vorpal Mace

Fifty years ago the legendary band, the Clerics, turned back an army of ten thousand orcs with the raw power of their music and prevented the city of Whitecrest from being sacked.

In memory of this great achievement, bards from throughout the region have gathered every five years at the site of the Clerics' feat to celebrate—and to compete with each other in the Battle of the Bards!

Favoured to win this year are the rising stars of the goth rock band Adamantium. Recently returned from a wildly successful tour in the north, the talented sultry quartet seems certain to garner even more accolades.

That is, unless down-on-their-luck Vorpal Mace can stop them.

A Penny for My Thoughts

System: A Penny for My Thoughts

In this diceless, non-competitive storytelling game, 3-4 players take the role of patients with severe retrograde amnesia. The characters have been given an experimental drug that breaks down the barriers between their minds. Although an individual character has difficulty recalling any memories, other characters are able to see their memories for them, and assist them in reconstructing what happened.

The players cooperate in building each other's stories, ending with the story of how they came to lose their memories. This system is entirely narrative driven and lacks randomizers.

Pathfinder Society

The Pathfinder Society will also be joining us this year, hosting some of their scenarios for ready and willing adventurers. Their line-up is as follows (scenario number precedes name):

5: Mists of Mwangi (Friday)
45: Delirium's Tangle (Friday)
55: The Infernal Vault (Saturday)
3-01: The Frostfur Captives (Saturday)
4-18: The Veteran's Vault (Sunday)

Some more information about these events:

Players can bring any PFS-legal characters between levels 1 and 5. Level 1 pregenerated characters will be available in every session. No specific knowledge of the Pathfinder rules is needed, but it will be advantageous.
GMs must sign up in advance, by 26 July 2013 (to sign up, email jeralltoi at gmail dot com). GMs must also have a paizo.com account—Paizo will provide all the digital material required to run and prepare for the session. It would be preferable for GMs to play in at least one PFS game before Dragonfire (there's a game at Fanaticus on 27 July 2013).
An individual can play or GM any number of the Dragonfire scenarios in any combination. They are not connected.

Iron Kingdoms

On Saturday there will be sessions of Iron Kingdoms Role Playing Game. Entrance is free! Sessions are planned to run between 09:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 16:00.

There will be sessions on Sunday as well, depending on demand. If people are keen, please book so we can build groups of 4 players per session.
