My Life With The Future: Another MLWM game may be run after exams, and definitely next year (along with InsideTropolis, I hope). A short review by d@vid
More Than Human: I hate all action movies, except when they're schlock pseudo-Victorian pseudo-horror (eg The Mummy, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) so naturally I loved Van Helsing.
Bronwen agreed with me that Igor didn't get enough screen time, although he did have a few good lines as FirstFallen pointed out (May 10 of her blog). I loved Frankenstein's Monster as a philosophical whiny bitch because, well, he is, isn't he? The B&W opening sequence has the most obvious MLWM connections, and is essentially an End-game and Epilogue (note how Igor transfers Masters).
Although there are other classic B-grade horror moments, it's a more hero-oriented than minion-oriented movie. A good example of Dracula as a Breeder rather than Feeder Master, though. Cue a hero-like NPC in the next session!
(In fact I never did.)
In MLWM you play the minions of an evil Master. (In the style of Igor, Quasimodo, Toadwart or Frankenstein's Monster.) Forced to obey his twisted commands your characters will find themselves destroying the ones they love, until they snap and turn on Master. The game is focused like a fresh scapel; a finely tuned clockwork engine primed to explode.
I am happy to lend out my copy of MLWM for reasonable periods of time.
