Wow! what a weekend.
Felt sick at work on friday. Left around lunchtime to go home and crawl into bed. Felt a little better towards evening, so didn't cancel dinner with my dad. Silly. Felt even worse afterwards, and ended up following him and his ex-wife around canal walk looking for new shoes for her (her stupid clog broke on the way in) and sleeping bags and backpacks for my dad and brother (who are going to oz to visit family over the hols). Got home and gratefully collapsed into bed.
Felt a lot better after a good night's sleep. Got up on saturday, went booze-shopping, came home, called Jo, went food-shopping, came home, cleaned a lot, went out to get supper, then made a lot of snacks.
Then ppl descended on my flat.
It rocked.
Just want to say thanks to all for a great party! I had a great time, and i hope everyone else did too.
The next morning, i cleaned some more :) everything ended up sticky. everything. also, alex is the best boyfriend...he probably did more cleaning up after the party than i did :)
After the cleaning, we got kfc for lunch, then went to my mom's for a relaxed afternoon. Went out to Ocean Basket for dinner with the family, and the food was awesome. Back to my mom's for good cake.
Then monday, bought cake for work. At work, discovered that i could actually take leave over the holiday, so took some. Yay! Got chinese takeout for supper (my birthday treat to myself) and took out Secondhand Lions and Spiderman 2. Spent the night with my man, lying on the couch watching movies and eating chinese. The perfect way to end a brilliant birthday weekend.
And going to find out about my tattoo on saturday! whee!
