Val, Cape Town's Prince (aka organiser of things VtES related), has organised not one, but two Vampire: The Eternal Struggle tournaments for this year's Dragonfire. The first will be open only to newcomers (defined as people who don't currently own cards). The second will be a standard constructed tournament, open to anyone who has a deck.
Newcomer's Tournament
During the morning, pre-constructed 3rd Edition starter decks will be available for demo games so that newcomers can get a feel for the game and cards.
- A little later on there will be a 10 player tournament, with no entry cost,
open only to newcomers. Each player in the tournament gets to take the starter
deck they play with home with them. Yes, it's a FREE starter deck. :) - The tournament will consist of one round of two tables, with the winner of each
table taking home an additional starter deck as their prize. - Entry is first come, first served.

Since White Wolf has kindly sent Val a total of 16 free 3rd Edition starter decks, the remaining 4 will be donated to CLAWs.
Constructed Tournament
This will be the final of the ongoing Laibon Storyline tournament. It's open to
everyone (even if you haven't played in the earlier tournaments). Unlike the four preceding tournaments, this will be a standard constructed tournament with no special rules or restrictions. In addition to prizes for winning the final, there will also
be prizes for the tournament series as a whole.
All entrants will receive 2 copies of the promo card Angelo for taking part.
Prizes:
- The winner of the final tournament will receive 18 3rd Edition boosters (half a booster box) and a set of 5 copies of each of the storyline's promo cards.
- The player who gets the most victory points (in the final tournament) out of those players who played in one of the finals of the preceding tournaments in the series, will receive 9 boosters.
- The player who gets the most victory points (in the final tournament) out of those players who won one of the preceding tournaments in the series, will receive 9 boosters.
- I don't know what the entrance fee for the tournament will be yet. The previous ones in the series were R25 each.
